Welcome!
Garnet Rock Farm in located in the quiet pastoral setting, Roxbury CT, owned by the Robin Montesi and Laura C. Miller. The farm is family owned and operated, using Organic and sustainable techniques.
The Montesi and the Millers believe in recycling and innovative
husbandry techniques for sustainable agriculture. Our farm
takes its name from a retired open air garnet mine (circa 1904)
located at the edge of the farm. Our goats are frequently allowed
"free range" of the property and can usually be found browsing
the walls and cliffs or exploring the garnet mines. Our herd is
unique in our organic approach, and the goats are fed a USDA
certified organic grain diet and local unfertilized orchard grass
and clover hay, as well as a selection of maintence herb
supplements and herbal deworming.
We are currently in the process of developing the "Dairy Quality" in our heard. We have recently added a Old Mountain Farm doe, as well as a 2 promising Dragonfly Farm, Sisters Three and Whey Better Farm does. Please be sure to visit our For Sale page for any recent additions and Kids.
